How often should I groom my Maltese? We recommend grooming your Maltese at least once a month. Brushing is recommended daily. Do not wash them more than once every two weeks because doing so will wash off the dogs natural oils causing there skin to dry out. The easiest way to keep there hair from getting mats is to have your groomer give your new pet a "Puppy Cut".
